We had prior work done by another company and things stopped working and fixtures fell off the wall. Carl came and explained everything as he adjusted it and was honest with his feedback of how I could improve things that weren’t working in the future. But there was no need because he addressed and helped me understand everything! He spoke to me like I was a person and broke it down exactly what he was doing and feeling in the know. It honestly felt like a good friend was fixing it for us and even stayed to look at a few other things I had concerns about but that he didn’t push me on. It was refreshing since the last company kept upping the price for unnecessary changes which stopped working after 6 months!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!Posted on Google

We had a heavy‑up and panel switch completed by CK Electric about two years ago. At the time of the installation, the weather was mild. When the work was finished, the electricity on our upper floor did not function at all. CK Electric returned and corrected the issue, and because the weather was still mild, we believed the problem had been fully resolved. However, once we experienced bad weather after that, the same issue reappeared: most of the electricity upstairs would fail during storms or heavy rain. When we contacted CK Electric about these recurring outages, they told us the problem was due to old wiring or outlets in our home. To better understand the situation, we had a Pepco technician come out and assess it. He told us the wiring appeared to be in good condition and that the issue was likely related to the panel work rather than the age of our outlets or wiring. We relayed this to CK Electric, and they said they would follow up, but we never heard back. We remain disappointed that weather continues to affect our upstairs electricity and that the issue from the original work still hasn’t been resolved.Posted on Google

Joey Mollica5 May 2022From setting up the estimate to completion of work and invoicing, my experience with CK Electric has been top notch. Carl came out and estimated several line items of work to be done. His estimate was provided in clear terminology via email and the software he uses allows to request changes and/or approve the estimate then and there. I received helpful reminders the week before the scheduled work. To my surprise (I really shouldn't have been surprised with all their recommendations...) the electricians showed up on time as scheduled even though they throw in the caveat of a 3-hour start window. Ross and Brandon performed installation of recessed lights, smart switches, and switch legs across three rooms in my house. I really appreciated their friendly demeanor and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied with the plan before starting the work. They worked neatly, covered surfaces with drop clothes, and even offered to mop at the end of the day. In hindsight I should have taken them up on the offer but my wife sold me out and told them I'd do it! Throughout the project any questions were not left hanging. I had an answer for everything within a day of my asking. They were not the lowest estimate I'd received for the work (I got four estimates), but the number of people recommending them made the decision easy. My only regret is that I didn't hire them sooner for other projects! If you're considering an electrician's services, you'd do right to have Carl and crew give you an estimate. Casey Davis27 February 2021WOW! What a FANTASTIC experience! I messaged CK Electric to set up an appointment and it was promptly returned. Carl and Craig came out within the week and gave us a quote. I thought that as a master electrician, he would charge more! But it was actually less than the other quotes we received. We set up a time for them to come out and do the work and they were punctual and tidy! Didn't leave a mess at all. On top of that, they noticed an odd smell in our kids play area. They checked it out to find wire connectors on a heater had been installed incorrectly by a contractor during a remodel. The connectors had melted and been burning through. He took care of that for us as well! We are beyond thrilled with Carl & CK Electric's responsiveness, timeliness, punctuality, skill, and professionalism. I have been in the construction industry for 18 years, and during this time have had experience with hundreds of contractors. Of those hundreds about 75% of them showed up on time, and performed quality work. When it comes to contractors who I call to perform work on my personal residence or of my loved ones, the list quickly shortens. This is because of one major factor, honor, and at the top of this list is Carl and CK Electrical. What I mean by this is simple, you are not just an address, scope of work and a final dollar amount. From the moment he shakes your hand and begins discussing your project he treats you like another educated human being, unlike some contractors who speak down to you. Furthermore, he is there for the passion of the trade not to make another dollar, so you know that what he is proposing is not best for him, but best for you. We did a first level remodel and hired Carl Kirkpatrick from CK Electric to run wire through my main level as well as install LED ceiling lights. Carl was very detailed and explained everything to us before moving forward. What made this more difficult was we were also having are painters there removing the popcorn from the ceiling. Carl not only communicated with us, but also was in constant communication with the painters and other contractors to try and work with them and get the job done. He is very dependable and does a clean job. Trying to make the least amount of holes possible. We highly recommend Carl and CK Electric for any electrical work you may need done. I guarantee that we will be using CK Electric for all our electrical needs!
